CMPRO Features and Functionality
CMPRO’s ability to simplify and automate an organization’s management processes involving engineering, product, inventory, and configuration data means that an organization is empowered to more effectively produce, maintain, and manage the products and items that are central to its business goals. CMPRO is a web-based, Commercial-off-the-Shelf (COTS) Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solution designed to orchestrate all of your organization’s PLM data in one secure database. Providing numerous out-of-the-box solutions, CMPRO’s architecture is designed to allow for rapid customization around its core engine. This approach enables CMPRO to meet the needs of each client's unique business process environment (customization handled by PSA).
CMPRO Functionality
Alterations Management: Provides alterations support for government organizations that require field changes, DD1149 support, and other types of alterations management functionality.
- As-Built: Tracks the configuration and location of products that have been built and deployed.
- Audit Management: Consists of creating an Audit Master; lists Government Participants and Site Participants to the audit; includes items to be audited; and identifies any discrepancies uncovered during the course of the audit.
- Baseline: Serves as a central control mechanism for managing product data over time.
- Normal - Consists of all the approved documents, drawings, software, and change documents associated with a system and/or subsystem at the time the baseline is generated.
- Merged - Combines two normal baselines.
- Product (Design) - Includes the same data as a Product Definition Baseline but does not require that the product definition data be generated ahead of time.
- Document (Administrative) - Creates and tracks the hierarchical document trees that make up processes, procedures, or other baselines that are used for configuration tracking.
- Contract / DD1423 Tracking: Allows users to track information about a contract, associated contract items, Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs), and any associated schedule and delivery records.
- Document Management: Provides a centralized repository for tracking information about documents and their attached electronic files.
- Drawing and Part List Management: Provides a centralized repository for managing drawing and parts list data.
- Hardware Configuration Management: Provides forms that fit the functionality outlined by the CMII Model and other configuration management standards including: Enterprise Problem Report (E-PR), Enterprise Software Problem Report (E-SPR), Enterprise Change Request (E-CR), Enterprise Change Notice (E-CN), Issue Report, Advance Change Study Notice (ACSN), Engineering Change Proposal (ECP), Notice Of Revision (NOR) and Implementation Directive.
- Inventory and Production Management: Enables inventory management for multiple warehouses in multiple geographic locations; provides door-to-door management for all items tracked; and integrates with the As-Built and Work Order Modules.
- IT Asset Management: Provides processes to track the configuration of IT network nodes and assets.
- Non-Conformance: Tracks the failure of manufactured parts or products to meet a specified requirement.
- Product Definitions: Allows drawing trees, part trees, and part Bill of Materials (BOMs) to be automatically created for use throughout the system.
- Project Management: Provides simple project management capabilities used to track activities with Tasks, Sub-tasks, and Action Items.
- Released Software Management: Provides basic revision control, license and location tracking, and media type and distribution tracking for released software.
- System and Subsystem: Provides a two-level hierarchy for organizing products for which data is being managed, as well as facilitating System Baselines.
- Workflow: Provides flexible automatic routing, document history, and collaboration features for electronic forms used for change management, process automation, and repository record creation and revision control.
- Work Instruction Plans: Integrates with the Work Order Module and documents work to be performed systematically together with any required verification checkpoints.
- Work Order (WO): Provides a workflow-enabled method to manage the building of end-items, assemblies, and buy lists. The WO also produces a Traveler Package, which includes a method for recording applicable serial numbers.
All of the above listed functionality is included in CMPRO. CMPRO modules are integrated and data is accessed from a centralized repository, allowing data to be entered once for use throughout the system which: reduces labor costs, reduces data-entry errors, ensures data integrity and allows for real-time status. All of these components work together to establish data usability and integrity while improving the quality of products.
