How to Use CMPRO for PLM (Part 10) – As-Built Module

The Work Order and Inventory Management modules in CMPRO integrate with the As-Built module to track the manufacturing and maintenance of end items. This functionality enhances the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) process by tracking end-items already fielded and by standardizing manufacturing and assembly methods.

As multiple quantities of an end-item are built and deployed, it is critical to have a method for tracking the location of those end-items, and the final configuration at the time of deployment. The As-Built module offers insight into the original configuration and any changes that were made to that configuration over time.

As-Built Baselines are used to create Bill of Material (BOM) templates for product-based applications. Those templates are used in the process of fabricating the product.
