Production Management

Production Management Integrates all of the necessary engineering data into manufacturing requirements including E-BOM to M-BOM reconciliation, Work Orders with Work Instructions, Inventory Management, and As-Built Management for tracking, maintenance, and repairs. By incorporating inventory into the engineering and production processes cost savings could be realized and delays foreseen. 

For the manufacturing department of your organization CMPRO makes integrating engineering data into manufacturing data seamless.  The initial process of integrating your engineering data into manufacturing data is managed with E-BOM to M-BOM reconciliation that integrates the information from your Engineering Product Baseline into a Work Order BOM. Work orders in CMPRO are workflow enabled and designed for simplified production planning with:

• Work Instructions to build, issue or repair
• Non-conformance tracking
• Inventory and as-built integration
• E-BOM to M-BOM comparison

In addition to the build work orders CMPRO also has an option for Buy Work Orders that are essentially a consolidated list of parts to buy (from the Product Baseline/PD Part Tree) that will link with a Project’s Task for status tracking.

The Inventory Management Module allows for inventory management across multiple warehouses in multiple geographic locations, provides door-to-door management for all items tracked and integrates with as-built and work orders. It also interfaces with the Drawing Repository so that inventory control personnel can view drawings of a part or assembly, as well as any other associated electronic documentation.  It also provides "parts where used" functionality.  Parts can be tracked by lot or other storage locations and searched out using any part information. Some of the core functions that the Inventory Management Module provides are:

• Total Asset Visibility
• Requisitions (On Order)
• Serialized and UID part tracking
• As-built and work order integration
• Bar code scanner support

Also incorporated into the Production Management in CMPRO is the As-Built Module which manages products that have been built and deployed by tracking a product’s : location, configuration when it was built, and serial number and UID. This module is best when fed with Product Definitions produced from Part Data which can be back-filled with spreadsheets.
